Swedish Mill Creek Campus

Swedish Mill Creek campus provides vital emergency and medical care in a community facility that was designed with environmental sustainability as a key goal of the site development.

The project has a series of rain garden swales across its frontage serving as both an inviting landscape at the entry that separates vehicles from the main pedestrian walkway, but also functions as a collector of stormwater runoff from adjacent parking surfaces.

The pedestrian walkway is lined with benches and native and adaptive plantings selected for their seasonal qualities, wet tolerant characteristics, minimal maintenance needs, and low profile for maximum visibility and wayfinding and pedestrian safety.
